Futagami Brass Trivet – Moon

These brass trivets are handy objects both in the kitchen and at the dinner table. They are functional while simultaneously exist as beautiful display objects while not in use. Through oxidization, its color changes over time to develop a beautiful rich patina. We love how a product like this transforms with age and remains exquisite throughout all its stages.

• ‘IHADA’ casting – a crude surface finish

The brass gradually changes its colour over the course of years due to oxidization. The longer it is used, the richer and subtler it becomes.

This patina can also be acquired by soaking in vinegar for a few hours or overnight and conversely polished back with Brasso.
